Opening & Tickets

April – September
The Garden will be open from 10am to 5pm, the last entry will be at 4pm.

The Courtyard Café will be open from 10am to 4pm. Breakfast will be served from 10am to 12 noon and Lunch from 12pm to 2.30pm. Drinks, cakes and snacks all day.

October – March
The Garden will be open from 10am to 4pm, the last entry will be at 2pm.

The Courtyard Café will be open from 10am to 2pm. Breakfast will be served from 10am to 12pm and Lunch from 12pm to 2pm. Drinks, cakes and snacks all day.

Open for Exercise Before 4th/July.

Safety currently is our utmost priority and so we have carefully consulted, informed council, listened, and listed information for your visit.

We are following government guidance strictly and have put in place many measures to ensure safety. To ensure social distancing at all times. To manage numbers visitors must follow rules and instructions, especially if certain tight area becomes too busy.

 the café and shop are closed, Takeaway open only at times when we can safely manage and preferably bringing your own flask.

The toilets are on limited basis which includes immediate hygiene measures if used with £1 cash donation, so prepare before you come.

keep min. 2-meter distancing at all times unless is within the same household.

Walk clockwise (as you are driving) when meets or follow signage in tight areas and paths.

It helps to bring cleaning tissues, sanitizer, a large Tesco bag /or cover to sit on, fold-wrap carefully for disposal at home. Try avoiding handles, benches, any surfaces, and touch as less surfaces as possible.

Cash in honesty box only, we have small number of plants for sale at £3, £5, £10, £15 per pot and for all takeaway drinks and use of toilets £1, No change given.

Wheelchair and accessible access

Accessibility

There is wheelchair access on the pathways throughout nearly all of the gardens. We have three easy-to-use mobility scooters for hire at reasonable rates; these can actually be operated by a companion if necessary.

Scooter Hire is available at £3 per hour (£10 for 3+ hours). Members are entitled to half price.

Visiting us as a group

Groups & School Trips

Pinetum Gardens is a fantastic day out for large groups and we welcome tour operators, coach companies, schools, educational groups, garden societies and other large groups to the gardens. Special rates are available for groups of ten or more that pre-book. Welcome talks are available on the coach on arrival, free of charge. Full guided tours are available by prior arrangement. Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea are available in our Courtyard Tearoom
