About Us
Established in the heart of St Austell more than 40 years ago, Pinetum Gardens is a place of tranquillity and garden beauty, largely created by Ray and Shirley Clemo; Shirley is an expert on plants and was awarded an MBE in 2011 for her work at Pinetum.
A garden for all seasons, the 30-acre site is home to one of the largest plant collections in the county, set within stunning parkland and some of Cornwall’s most spectacular champion trees.
Chang Li (Pinetum’s current owner) has introduced elements of Eastern influence, most notably in the Japanese Garden; he’s also enhanced the visitor experience due to his keen desire for the gardens to be enjoyed by the community.
