Discover the 'Hidden Gardeners' of Pinetum
Have you met our 'Hidden Gardeners'? Dotted throughout the grounds, these charming figures seem to emerge from the very landscape itself.

The Sculptor Behind Them
My husband Nigel Wills is a Cornishman who, over the years, has created enchanting sculptures that bring our gardens to life. Each one tells a story and adds a touch of whimsy to your garden exploration.
Nigel's work celebrates the spirit of gardening and the connection between humans and nature. His sculptures have become beloved features of Pinetum Gardens, delighting visitors of all ages who discover them along the winding paths.
The Joy of Discovery
What we love most is watching visitors – especially children – suddenly spot one of the Hidden Gardeners peering out from behind a shrub or tucked into a corner.
"Keep your eyes open as you explore – you never know where you might spot one of our Hidden Gardeners at work!"
The figures are deliberately placed to surprise you. Some are obvious, some are very well hidden indeed. Finding them all has become something of a game for regular visitors.

Each sculpture is made to weather and age naturally, becoming more part of the garden with every passing year. That was always Nigel's intention – not garden ornaments, but garden inhabitants.
